The responsible body is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.B. names, e-mail addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in special cases as well as to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If the data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e or f GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this data protection declaration. Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only take place to the extent that it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion and correction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. For this purpose, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the audit, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have filed an objection pursuant to Article 21 (1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may only be processed – apart from its storage – with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Objection to advertising e-mails

The use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby rejected. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam e-mails.

3. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and stored by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They will be automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.B. shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.B. cookies for the analysis of your surfing behaviour) are stored, they are treated separately in this data protection declaration.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of his website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.B. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Request by e-mail, telephone or fax

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your request, including all resulting personal data (name, request), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit.b GDPR, if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us.

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.B. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Comment function on this website

For the comment function on this page, in addition to your comment, information about the time of creation of the comment, your e-mail address and, if you do not post anonymously, the username you have chosen will be stored.

Storage of the IP address

Our comment function stores the IP addresses of the users who write comments. Since we do not check comments on our site before they are activated, we need this data in order to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as insults or propaganda.

Subscribe to comments

As a user of the site, you can subscribe to comments after logging in. You will receive a confirmation email to check if you are the owner of the email address provided. You can unsubscribe from this function at any time via a link in the info mails. The data entered in the context of subscribing to comments will be deleted in this case; however, if you have transmitted this data to us for other purposes and elsewhere (e.B. newsletter order), they remain with us.

Duration of comments

The comments and the associated data (e.B. IP address) are stored and remain on our website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments must be deleted for legal reasons (e.B. offensive comments).

Legal basis

The comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

4. Social Media

Facebook Plugins (Like & Share-Button)

Plugins of the social network Facebook, provider Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA, are integrated on our pages. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like" button on our site. An overview of the Facebook plugins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE.

When you visit our pages, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook "Like" button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to assign the visit to our pages to your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or their use by Facebook. Further information can be found in Facebook's privacy policy at: https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.

If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our pages with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

The use of Facebook plugins is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in achieving the widest possible visibility in social media.

Twitter Plugin

Functions of the Twitter service are integrated on our pages. These functions are offered by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the "Re-Tweet" function, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and made known to other users. Data is also transmitted to Twitter. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or their use by Twitter. Further information can be found in Twitter's privacy policy at: https://twitter.com/de/privacy.

The Twitter plugin is used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in achieving the widest possible visibility in social media.

You can change your privacy settings on Twitter in the account settings under https://twitter.com/account/settings.

5. Plugins and Tools

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform presentation of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. As a result, Google becomes aware that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found under https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

6. YouTube

We have included YouTube videos on our website. So we can present you interesting videos directly on our site. YouTube is a video portal that has been a subsidiary of Google LLC since 2006. The video portal is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page on our website that has embedded a YouTube video, your browser automatically connects to the youTube or Google servers. Depending on the settings, different data is transmitted. Google is responsible for all data processing and Google's data protection therefore also applies.

In the following, we would like to explain in more detail which data is processed, why we have integrated YouTube videos and how you can manage or delete your data.

What is YouTube?

On YouTube, users can watch, rate, comment on and upload videos for free. Over the past few years, YouTube has become one of the most important social media channels worldwide. In order for us to be able to display videos on our website, YouTube provides a code snippet that we have integrated on our site.

Why do we use YouTube videos on our website?

YouTube is the video platform with the most visitors and the best content. We strive to provide you with the best possible user experience on our website. And of course, interesting videos should not be missing. With the help of our embedded videos, we provide you with other helpful content in addition to our texts and images. In addition, our website is easier to find on the Google search engine through the embedded videos. Even though we run ads through Google Ads, thanks to the data we collect, Google can really only show these ads to people who are interested in our offers.

What data is stored by YouTube?

As soon as you visit one of our pages that has a YouTube video installed, YouTube at least sets a cookie that stores your IP address and our URL. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can usually assign your interactions on our website to your profile using cookies. This includes data such as session duration, bounce rate, approximate location, technical information such as browser type, screen resolution, or your Internet service provider. Other data may include contact details, any reviews, sharing content via social media or adding to your favorites on YouTube.

If you're not signed in to a Google Account or Youtube account, Google stores data with a unique identifier associated with your device, browser, or app. For example, your preferred language setting is retained. But a lot of interaction data cannot be stored because fewer cookies are set.

In the following list we show cookies that were set in a test in the browser. On the one hand, we show cookies that are set without a registered YouTube account. On the other hand, we show cookies that are set with a logged in account. The list cannot claim to be complete, because the user data always depends on the interactions on YouTube.

How long and where is the data stored?

The data that YouTube receives and processes from you is stored on Google's servers. Most of these servers are located in America. Under https://www.google.com/about/datacenters/inside/locations/?hl=de you can see exactly where Google's data centers are located. Your data is distributed on the servers. In this way, the data can be retrieved more quickly and better protected against manipulation.

Google stores the collected data for different lengths of time. Some data can be deleted at any time, others are automatically deleted after a limited time and still others are stored by Google for a longer period of time. Some data (such as items from My Activity, photos or documents, products) stored in your Google Account will remain stored until you delete it. Even if you're not signed in to a Google Account, you can delete some data associated with your device, browser, or app.

How can I delete my data or prevent data storage?

Basically, you can manually delete data in your Google Account. With the automatic deletion feature of location and activity data introduced in 2019, information is stored for either 3 or 18 months depending on your decision – and then deleted.

Regardless of whether you have a Google Account or not, you can configure your browser to delete or disable cookies from Google. Depending on which browser you use, this works in different ways. The following instructions show how to manage cookies in your browser:

Chrome: Delete, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome

Safari: Manage cookies and website data with Safari

Firefox: Delete cookies to remove data that websites have placed on your computer

Internet Explorer: Delete and manage cookies

Microsoft Edge: Delete and manage cookies

If you do not want cookies in principle, you can set up your browser so that it always informs you when a cookie is to be set. This allows you to decide for each individual cookie whether you allow it or not. Since YouTube is a subsidiary of Google, there is a common privacy policy. If you would like to learn more about the handling of your data, we recommend that you read the privacy policy under https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

7. Disqu's comment function

On the basis of our legitimate interests in efficient, secure and user-friendly comment management in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR, we use the comment service DISQUS, offered by DISQUS, Inc., 301 Howard St, Floor 3 San Francisco, California- 94105, USA. DISQUS is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TRkEAAW&status=Active

To use the DISQUS comment function, users can log in via their own DISQUS user account or an existing social media account (e.B. OpenID, Facebook, Twitter or Google). In this case, the login data of the users is obtained by DISQS from the platforms. It is also possible to use the DISQUS comment function as a guest, without creating or using user accounts with DISQUS or one of the specified social media providers. We only embed DISQUS with its functions in our website, whereby we can influence the comments of users. However, the users enter into a direct contractual relationship with DISQUS, within the framework of which DISQS processes the comments of the users and is a contact person for any deletion of the data of the users. We refer to the data protection declaration of DISQUS: https://help.disqus.com/terms-and-policies/disqus-privacy-policy and also point out to the users that they can assume that DISQUS stores their IP address and the time of the comment in addition to the comment content and stores cookies on the computers of the users and can use them to display advertising. However, users can object to the processing of their data for the purpose of displaying advertisements: https://disqus.com/data-sharing-settings.
